★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I don’t know where to begin, this is by far the best Japanese Sushi/Food Shop I’ve ever been too, the quality and heart they put in all their food is just out of this word, I highly recommended that when you have a party you talk to Marie at Mariko Japan and check out their party platter combos, gad damn, everything is made fresh before you pickup, absolutely no using leftovers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mariko Japan is hands down the best Japanese food I’ve ever tasted. Each meal is prepared with the utmost care and they incorporate a beautiful artistic flair with their presentation. The portion sizes are perfect. You definitely get your money’s worth. I’ve lived in Unsworth Heights for 20+ years and this is the best food establishment to pop-up down the road. If I leave the neighbourhood I’ll definitely make the effort to come buy from them still. 5/5 stars from me. I love to see a great small business thrive!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had several take away meals fro Mariko Japan. Every one has been absolutely delicious and beautifully presented and reasonably priced. I used to get my Japanese takeaway from Takapuna but after having been to Mariko I have changed my preference.

Service was welcoming and fast. Only took ten minutes from order placed to the dish served.
Will come back to try other dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tried this place for the first time a couple weeks ago. Had the chicken donburi, the pork yakisoba and the vegetarian tempura box. The food was tasty, reasonable value and ell presented. Theres lots of parking available which makes it easy to get to, and the staff are very welcoming. Will return again to try some other dishes.
