About Marine Parade Playground
We have a moral and legal requirement to keep people safe and to meet current legislation. Part of these requirements involve developing a Water Safety Plan that identifies the risks in our water supply and how we manage them. We use chlorine to manage the risks in our supply (mainly the risk of contamination in our network).
Also, the current stance of the newly established drinking water regulator in New Zealand (Taumata Arowai) is that all water supplies must have a residual disinfectant in order to ensure protection of public health. While water supply entities can apply for an exemption to move to a chlorine free supply, they are required to provide evidence to demonstrate that public health will not be compromised. On this basis, PDP and their international partners have developed a pathway for NCC to move towards a chlorine free future through the exemption process outlined in the Water Services Bill. However, this is not a quick fix and there is no option to go back to the way things were.

โ โ โ โ โ Great playground for kids all ages. Different age groups playground parts divided by fence. From 7-12 and toddlers - 7. Barbecue area, toilets and nice, long seaside walk only few meters away. Beach just across. Definitely a great place for a picnic even on a rainy day since tables are under a big gazebo

โ โ โ โ โ Awesome playground for children of different ages. The playgrounds are fully fenced and split for different ages. One playground is for 2-7 year olds and the other one is for 7-12 year olds. Most of the playgrounds are covered and there are covered picnic tables to sit at and watch your kids. Nice big Carpark that has a 2 hour limit. Coffee cart and ice cream kiosk onsite

โ โ โ โ โ Huge playground by the beach. It is located a bit away from town though. There area a few different areas for different aged kids but it looks like it is only for kids up to 12. Worth visiting if you do have kids who like playgrounds. I would have climbed a few things if there wasn't the age restriction.
