Our crew finds the very best hidden gems from around the world and even right here in TΔmaki Makaurau. From our New Zealand wools, to Belgium linens or even commercial-grade American velvet, our extensive and diverse range caters to home-sewers and industry professionals alike.
We’re not your average fabric store. Specialising in upholstery and curtaining fabrics, we know it’s easier to visualise these things. That’s why most of our stock is hanging, sparking inspiration and sometimes even creative overload as you walk through. Our ever-evolving stock means that our store never stays the same. But don’t fret if you’re not Auckland-based, our free sampling service provides for those across New Zealand, Australia and even worldwide.
Along with sampling, we also offer a range of custom-made services from curtains and blinds, cushions, bedheads, lampshades and even pea mattresses (think The Princess and the Pea).
Since 2003, Martha’s has flourished into a female-lead team of creative women. Each with a unique background and set of creative talents, we are equipped with a diverse array of skills to help.

β β β β β If you are a serious interior fabric lover, then you just have to visit this place because the fabrics are beautiful. You will find high end Designer Fabrics here. They aren't cheap but they are absolutely unique. They are situated beside Little & Friday so you can also get great coffee and incredible food before you browse.

β β β β β Went along after reading good reviews, however, come home feeling very disappointed. No greeting, no acknowledgement even that I was there, I wandered around for a good 15 minutes looking for something specific with samples in hand which I would have thought made it look like I was really trying to find something in particular. Many of the fabric prints lacked clarity and most of those I had viewed online were disappointing in this regard. Just about all the fabrics are $50/m so I guess that is OK if you want fabrics in the cheaper range.

β β β β β For lovers of fine fabrics curtaining and upholstery this place is a feast for your eyes. Materials colour coordinated which is very helpful and staff know their products. Parking not easy remember to pay worth waiting around for a park.

β β β β β Excellent selection for home furnishing projects. I bought a bundle of remnants and 2 meters good quality tartan off the roll. Was referred here from the Fabric Store, which has lighter weight fabrics for dressmaking.

After also reading all the positive feedback- I was horrified to find the two shop assistant discussing another customs and how difficult this particular customer was. I spent about 15 min browsing in the store and when I finally headed for the door - one assistant finally acknowledged my presence- very poor show Martha's Fabrics.
