★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Was a lovely walk yesterday through the park. Turns out the waterfall loop is quite short (as are most of the other walls) we got to the sign just after the waterfall to either do the glow worm track or Nikau track, did the Nikau track but no Nikaus in sight! But it did get us to the top of the park. We continued through the ponga grove track and down through to the Magnolia gully track and all the way down to the lakeside and to Cherry Bay where we stopped for a snack and then walked to the entry and back to the car park again. Took about 1.5 hrs and felt like we covered a great deal of the park. Lovely range of different kinds of trees so great to look along the way and see how many you know. Will be back for more adventures.
