McSweeney Immigration Law is a boutique immigration law firm situated in Takapuna, Auckland, founded by our principal, Tim McSweeney, one of New Zealand’s most highly regarded immigration lawyers.
Our firm is centred on the belief that immigration offers significant benefits for New Zealand, and therefore, we will always be passionate advocates for our clients who add enormous value to this country in a multitude of valuable ways. We believe those wanting to contribute to NZ society deserve first class advice and representation, and our team are uncompromising in the delivery of this.
Having dealt with thousands of migrants over the years, we understand the stress and confusion caused by the immigration process. So we try to alleviate this and bring our clients to a successful conclusion as quickly as possible.
We will always take the time to listen, and do further research where necessary – we recognise there is a lot at stake in this costly, time consuming process – so we are meticulous in planning for our clients success.
At the outset we design a strategy to accomplish our clients goals; and make sure they understand what this entails. We have a reputation for honest and responsive communication; our clients are always fully informed and aware of where they are in the process.
We understand New Zealand’s immigration process is far from perfect – inconsistent, incorrect and unfair decisions are made daily by NZ immigration officials. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I started dealing with Tim McSweeney in 2015, before immigrating to New Zealand. Anyone who has immigrated, especially at a later stage in life, like I did, can tell you that it is an arduous task, and not for the feint hearted. It's downright daunting and scary.
Tim helped us every step of the way, with professionalism, a vast wealth of knowledge, empathy and friendliness.
A few years later Tim assisted my sister, brother-in-law and their young son with their immigration to NZ and they had a difficult journey but Tim helped them through it and eventually they received their Work Visa's.
Tim also assisted the employer I worked with at the time to attain Accredited Employer status. Again, an outstanding example of Tim's ability and efficiency.
I've recommended Tim and his team to many people over the past 6 years, and will continue to do so. He's one the best in his field, in my opinion.
PS: I have had experiences with a few other Immigration Lawyers in New Zealand and none came close to what Tim offers.
