★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful when asking these lawyers for a quote or estimate of their services!! I was in the middle of building a minor dwelling and called around different lawyers for an estimate of how much it will cost for a lawyer to represent our behalf- Mcveagh fleming took my details such as my home address, I thought it's to give me an exact estimate- another lawyer then sent me an email listing out advice I've never asked for, and then they charged me almost $500 for this!! For a 10 minute chat over the phone and an email listing out information I already knew!! Outrageous how they can do this without me ever asking for their advice!! Tried to contact the lawyer several times to dispute this but he did not pick up the phone even though the receptionist was sure he was free and in his office!! Unbelievable!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I needed to recover a debt of 240k from very difficult obstinate company. I had an initial meeting with John Burley (partner) and thought I had some powerful representation. It took 6 weeks to write a letter and 5 months to achieve absolutely nothing. Excuses of too busy, sick etc. Don't bother phoning as you will not get the phone call answered or returned. An email will take 5 days to reply to you. Their accounts come like clockwork though. Basically, if you are ok with being treated with utter contempt and made to feel like you are a nuisance while you shell out $500-00 per hour then McVeagh Fleming are for you otherwise press any other button on that elevator and you will get better value for money even if you get off at the café at least you get a coffee for your money.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely the worst firm! They say that the process will be " straight forward" meanwhile they take thier time, never get back to you and you always have to follow up with them. Poor communication skills, poor time management as well as organizational skills oh and lack professionalism. If you need anything done quick dont expect it! Worst lawyers I have ever delt with. Expect delays and silence not only from your lawyer but the rest of them, that is until they want to clip their ticket and demand payment.
