Unprofessionalism & DISHONESTY was experienced from a senior solicitor of this firm, while directing the actions of a more junior solicitor.
Their actions have cost me my home & my business!!
It will be part of a formal complaint to the Law Society (recommended by more than one other Barrister), but I wish to spread a WARNING to others who have been referred to this legal firm.
The FAILURE of their solicitor to apply for a postponement of my hearing, a simple instruction & request made by me due to a serious injury &surgery left me stuck in Hospital 2mths, is 100% unprofessional & against all their guidelines of PROFESSIONAL obligations. The judge indicated that it would have been accepted as justified, except McVeagh Flemming attended the court hearing!
I'll add here that at Court they proceeded to withdraw representation, & have even charged for that time taken to attend the Court hearing AGAINST my instructions & very obviously while NOT acting in my interests, nor representing me according to my contract with them or their professional licence would dictate.
100% DISHONEST practice!!
My request to "vacate" the hearing with 3wks notice was a reasonable request, & under the guidelines& requirements of their contract with me, & those governing their professional conduct, it was a legitimate instruction & request from me their client! The judge said so, but because they acted against my instructions & AGAINST my interests as their client, the court hearing & other processes that followed proceeded while I was disabled from injury & unable to leave home even for a doctor visit or physio (done by home visit).
Alissa Bell & Anna Carbon at McVeagh Fleming have caused me extreme personal hardship & financial loss of over $200,000. Their decision to ignore & then refuse to follow my instruction cost me the loss of my home, & any future ability to ever own property near Auckland. This has lifelong consequences that will result in extreme financial hardship later in my retirement!
100 % TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL
P. S. After the misleading reply I would like to be 100% clear that if anyone wants to contact me directly I can prove by court documents filed by Alissa Bell, that their statement made to the Court was referred to in the Judges decision & became prejudicial AGAINST ME, their client!!!
