★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went to shortland street dental/ metro dental (now they move to level 3, 79 queen street) then it become a nightmare for me!! After Dr Suresh Patel fixing my four teeth, for the teeth that was painful still painful and for the teeth that was not painful at all become so painful that I can not longer to use my right teeth to bite! They always explained it takes time to settle down and ask me to take panadol! I endure the pain for a month, then I found other dentist to try to fix the job they didn't do properly which waste me more time and money, my new dentist told me that she found the problem and I immediately noticed the pain is gone after redo one of the filling. But I havent open another teeth's filling, now it still painful when biting. It is such a horrible experiences for me.
I doubt Dr Suresh patel's integrity that he fix my good teeth for money! Otherwise how come for The teeth was not painful at all become so painful after he fix them. Additionally, The flilling that he used is very poor quality, my new dentist has a nice smooth filling that you won't even see it. And his job is so rough, I have some filling come out from my mouse 2 days after, there are many holes on the teeth as he didn't get enough filling. Obviously, there are some steps are missing when he fixing the teeth so he could save more time and money.
I shared my experiences because at least one person can see it, they won't endure more pain like I have experienced. It is still worthwhile for me. To be honest you may find them a bit cheaper, but you will be regret and end up with costing more money and time to find the solution as they wont be responsible for the job they havent done properly. and be careful if Dr Suresh patel want to fix the teeth that are not painful! He do it for making more money, I have four teeth filled but only one teeth was painful before, they create more pain rather than solving your pain.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visited Metro Dental to do a root canal on a teeth which had the same procedure done in the past but incorrectly. I was sceptical initially when I approached them since I had visited 2 other dentist in CBD, one was very expensive (even though he had a very small practice with less facilities) and the other was extremely arrogant and trying to force sell options to me (and they were expensive) which I didnt like. Metro dental was the third one I visited and I have to say that the Dentist Dr Suresh Patel was such a friendly, jovial and patient guy. Mine was a slightly complicated situation since it had the same procedure done incorrectly in past but he dealt with it so well and I didnt feel ANY pain at all, and he even went to the extent of explaining each and every step to make me feel relaxed and aware of the whole process. And the added bonus was their prices are not exorbitant as some of the other practices. I totally reccommend them to all those who are scared to visit one or had a poor experience with a dentist in the past.
