โ โ โ โ โ Dishes are a tad expensive but the consolation is the serving is huge and you can probably order 2 for 2 sharing. The dishes are tasty as such but probably uses too much oil for my liking. Other than that it's a decent place for a stopover if you have carving for Chinese food.

โ โ โ โ โ Awesome food, best Chinese I think I've had, my kids loved it, we even went back because it was so good and we were only in Te Anau 3 nights ??Great service also, highly recommended!

โ โ โ โ โ Our absolute favourite restaurant in Te Anau. Initially we were planning to try out many different restaurants in town. But after having just one dinner at Ming Garden we were hooked. We ended up having all three dinners here and ordered some for takeaway.
Service was 100% amazing I can't complement enough. The owner (gentleman) was funny, keeping us in check if we needed anything else and taking away plates whenever it was empty. He even topped up tea without even us requesting. Perfect service. Highly recommended.

โ โ โ โ โ Great food! So yum! Seafood sizzle is absolutely amazing.
You should order one of soup bowls too which is only $7.
Thank you for great foods.

โ โ โ โ โ Probably the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Ordered the bbq pork, wonton, peanut chicken, sweet and sour pork, fried rice and a beef noodle. The only thing that was remotely edible was the beef noodle.. everything else was Luke warm, microwaved and flavorless. We paid for our food, got it put in takeaway container left, put it in the bin and went to another restaurant for dinner.

โ โ โ โ โ Times during covid tough for restaurants. Te Anau very quiet. We had a lovely meal. Far to much for 2 off us. Flavours on all dishes good. Staff were quick to help.

โ โ โ โ โ An impromptu visit. We dined in. Very pleasantly surprised! The food was absolutely delicious and totally authentic! It only took us minutes to down our food as it was just so good! Only criticism being that the restaurant was quite cold. A bit more heating would have been great. Definitely will be returning to The Ming Garden for a planned visit soon! So many dishes I want to try!

โ โ โ โ โ Had a nice meal last night at this establishment, there wasnโt much open in Te Anau but Iโm very glad that we picked this restaurant. The food was beautiful, my favourites were the stir fried ho fun, the egg fried rice, the salt and pepper prawns and the black pepper venison. We had a nice chat to the owner and found out that the restaurant usually is very busy due to tour buses always coming before covid hit! So it being quiet is very unusual. Hopefully with the borders reopening they regain their well deserved business!
