I think the books here are massively overpriced. They are also very reluctant to reduce the price for damaged books (the cover was almost completely detached, but they still wanted to charge a ridiculous amount). The selection is not very good. I also overheard a conversation where it was stated they purposely do not provide any seats? I mean, come on. How silly. I'm not going to bother stopping in on my way north again.

Hidden away enroute to Bulls from Palmerston North is this great used book shop. Fantastic selection covering a vast array of subjects. The books are priced reasonably and staff are somehow able to navigate you to exactly where you need to be to find *that* book. Recommended.

this place has an AMAZING variety of books, but the prices are disgusting, I understand some smaller places need to up their price a little to make up for it, but there were some children's books there for $15 which is just exploiting poor people in small towns, when people go to second hand stores they are looking for cheaper alternatives , like if I wanted to pay $20 for a single book, I would get it new, if you lowered your prices, I would be more inclined to spend money at your store but alas, your prices suck

The store has an incredible selection of second hand books all in order and clearly labelled to make it easier for you to find that book you are seeking. If you are having difficulty, the woman in charge is very helpful and will attempt to source particular books for you. Well worth a stop if you have an hour or more to spend browsing.

Lovely lady at the front counter. Nice selection of literature. A fun way to break up the long road trip.

A great selection of second hand books/ magazines. All shelves are clearly labeled to make it easy to find. Slightly expensive but a good range children’s books. The lady is very helpful and accommodating. Take a break and have a check this out you may find something interesting.

Definitely a β€œhuge” place...diversity it has but a quality selection it does not. I also found the books to be a bit on the expensive side. Most ppl want to get bargains for used books not just discounts from new prices. If you’re looking for a rare find, this is the place for you but your average bookworm would struggle to find something he/she likes at a desirable price. The lady was very friendly and helpful but I can’t help but think she needs to chuck out a lot of stuff (the stacks of old magazines, β€œaviation” books, etc.) and get some selections people would be after for a more reasonable price.
