★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The young lady who cut two spare padlock keys for me was great. I had already tried M10 in Wanaka and the guy failed, she needed to cut them manually and was very upfront about the high chance they wouldn’t work - both worked perfectly!
Bunnings told me it couldn’t be done and the guy tried in Wanaka but failed.
Very happy I now have spares that work. Thank you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What's to complain about. Not too hard to find staff to help. Best out of the two big stores for quick service. Cafe is popular. Where's my builders breakfast..? ;-)
It was weekend and the Cafe kitchen seemed to close about 2pm. That was odd.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had such an amazing experience in Mitre10 Queenstown today. While shopping I managed to loose my credit card behind one of the shelving units. I had 3 wonderful staff members (1 gentlmen and 2 ladies) come and help me.. and it wasn't easy, they had to remove all the shelving crawl on the floor, eventually they found my credit card. Thank you so much! I so appreciate you all taking the time to help me! I just wish I got your 3 names, but I am hoping managment will pass on my appreciation -it was Wednesday the 25th at around 12.30pm. Thank you for such wonderful customer service

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Much more respectful staff than those at Bunnings. I wasn't asked to leave my bag at the front before going shopping, unlike at Bunnings. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bunnings could learn something from Mitre 10. Treat your customers like valued customers - not criminals :-)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I entered the store today and was greeted by a nice lady at the front. I asked her where the spanners were and she offered me directions nicely (although the directions weren't accurate).
As soon as I proceeded toward where the spanners were, a rude lady approached me and asked me to leave my bag at the front. As a man of color, I felt humiliated to be singled out. There were ladies walking around with handbags and females are statistically more likely to shoplift.
I don't dress like a rich person but that's because I'm not superficial. I can probably afford to buy the most expensive items in this store. But because of how I was treated, I left immediately, never to return. I went to Bunnings instead. They didn't make me feel like a criminal. They made me feel like a valued customer and I bought from one of their most expensive brands. Thank you Bunnings :-)
