Everytime we pick up our dog from here she sleeps for the next 12-18 hours, it's a fantastic! Very reasonably priced and located on a farm with lots of space to run. Grateful to have this service in our area.

Dianne was so lovely and friendly, as were her gorgeous farm dogs. And so convienent - booked just the day before - our little furry buddy got a day running on the farm whilst we did some hiking in National Park. Thanks again Di!

The team at Miterdale are just amazing. My family and I have been dropping off our fur babies off for over 10 years and they have a brilliant time there. They are a great local family business that my family and my dogs just love to bits! Thanks for being so amazing and looking after our fur babies so well Miterdale team xx

After I spoke to Lois on the phone I knew we had found the perfect first time kennel for our pup. She told me β€˜we love puppies’. Roxy had brilliant day visits at Mitredale on the farm playing with other dogs all day while we skied. We affectionately named the kennels β€˜muddy paws’ which was to be expected on a farm in winter. We will definitely be back to book Roxy in again. Thanks for looking after our fur baby.

In Dec of 2020 we put both our dogs into the care of mitredale kennels for 4 nights. Previous to their stay I'd advised the owner that one of our dogs had bitten another dog and as precaution we were muzzling during public outings. The owner never expressed any concern about housing her. We dropped them off where the owner declined to take the muzzle or lead, assuring that she would be supervised during her stay. As we were returning to collect them we were informed by a friend that our dog had been involved in an attack at the kennels. We called the owner to find out what happened and discovered that indeed our dog had severely attacked another dog two days prior. To my understanding the other dog survived but spent a couple of weeks in the veterinary hospital. Our dogs came back with diminished mental health and one missing 3cm of flesh from the tip of her tail. The owner admitted to leaving our dog unattended and she had jumped the fence. An SPCA investigation was conducted and found the kennels were not compliant. The owner undertook changes to bring the kennels up to minimum standards. I would not recommend these facilities to others. The owner has other major priorities that do not allow for adequate attention to families furry companions, in my opinion.

My Pup arrives in the morning spends the whole day playing with other dogs in the kennels and comes home the happiest puppy in the world. she's 8 months old and been going in most week days as we're able, since about mid April. Louis, Di and co take excellent care of her and she's always enjoys herself. Makes me feel good knowing my pup isn't home alone and bored!

This is our third winter season putting our pup in the care of Di and this year Lois. To say he loves this place is an understatement, as soon as we turn into the drive he is bursting with excitement. When we pick him up he is super happy and completely exhausted. It's such a good feeling knowing you can spend all day up the maunga and know your pup is also having the best time on the farm. Communication is so easy and we always love catching up with Di. Awesome place :)

Great little kennel place..Very friendly owners. About 300metres of gravel off main rd. Very hard to turn around in 7.5metre Motorhome, but we did it. Plenty of parking at the bottom of driveway. Our dog had a great time, slept all day after picking him up.
