★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went in and asked if I bought something could I please get some cash out? Told by the surly old man behind the counter that they don't do cash out. I said OK will go over the road to the AtM and come back, which i did. Was then that he got really upset. I purchased a luxury flake and handed over a $20 note only to be told he was not impressed and that he didn't have any money to change. (He gave me $10 and 6x$1. Seriously man, all you had to say was I can't change a $20 note and I would have gone to the dairy next door!!!! I thought he'd had a bad day so I just said thank you and hope you have a nice evening (not sarcastically at all, genuinely) and the reason I wrote this review is because he applauded me as I walked out on the forecourt, as if I had given a stellar performance! I frequent this station when on this side of town because I have a Mobil card....will go out of my way from now on to not be treated with such BAD customer service!!! PS The one star is only because I couldn't do NO stars!!!
UPDATE: Spoke to Alice the owner as I had laid a complaint. She was very proactive and sympathetic with my experience and apologised. She needs to know if anyone has issues with staff so please call her to discuss these. She is very approachable and seems to care about her customers!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Own the car still paying for the petrol. Handy location for a garage if you are heading north to the Northlands Mall. Friendly and good service from this gas station What I did like is it can be quick to get gas and go. So if you want a convenient and quick turnaround then consider stopping here at Mobil Papanui.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Customer service here sucks. I walk in, grab a V and say Hi to the attendant. He looks at me as if to say why the f... did you come in here today. Gave him the money and he puts the change back on the counter. No bye no nothing. Terrible service.
I wonder if Mobil NZ Ltd head office looks at these reviews. I certainly hope they do so the franchise owner can be given a warning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good location of the shop is the only plus. Unfortunately the older slim guy with the grey hair you’ve got employed there sends off a really bad vibe. Not only is he rude, no hellos, pleases or thank yous, I was polite as anything, as I am always to customer service personnel. I work in the same industry myself. I’ve been in to the station numerous times and every time he has served me he just stares with a blank expression, it feels really creepy and judging by your previous reviews he has made other people feel uneasy as well. I will certainly hesitate in future to enter your store as I dread being served by him whenever I go to Mobil Papanui.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just by the main road. Offers 91, 95 petrol and diesel. Comes with a minisupermarket and a cafe inside. Offers a car wash (automated) service too. During day time u have to pay inside the supermarket.
