★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a great dinner! 5 courses menu! One of the rare fancy cuisine restaurant in Dunedin! My hubby and I are french and we have difficulties finding restaurant who served fancy cuisine in Dunedin. So we are quite happy to have found Moiety!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing experience as a group of 4 - great service and food was incredible. Loved that we all had the same food to rave about together! Unique experience in Dunedin. Menu changes pretty frequently - have been twice now and I'll definitely be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I thought it was ok. The welcome was offhand and the service lacked personality. The dishes were ok - there was a lot of unusual ingredients but they didn't really add much and weren't necessary. Often the flavours they were explaining weren't really there. Of the 5 dishes, none blew me away - except the way the lamb was cooked. That was the best lamb I'd ever had. The dish with the carrots and yoghurt was revolting. I usually eat pretty much anything and I hated this. The duck was hard work to cut and we saw others having the same trouble, although eating it, it was fine. Once the meal was over and the plates were cleared, they weirdly refilled our water glasses but then didn't offer us anything else or offer to bring the bill and we weren't really sure what we were supposed to do. So we awkwardly got up and paid. Overall enjoyable but nothing really stood out as amazing for the $250 price tag.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A dinner for the books! Amazingly good food that should be Michelin starred! One of the dishes was lamb neck which had been sous vide that was so sweet and tender. The pate was fluffy! Orange wine was a great combo. All in all a very memorable meal served in a beautifully sleek setting run by a husband/wife team with warmth and service at their heart. Will repeat whenever possible.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hands down one of the best degustation dining experiences I've had and I'm not just talking locally but internationally. The food was sublime.
I couldn't recommend highly enough sitting at the bar and watching the chefs at work. All are so engaging and present each dish to you with such detail and care.
Partnered with staff who know their wine list intimately it was such a wonderful evening.
The perfect place to dine. I will be back. Thank you for a wonderful evening out. My Mum raved about it the whole way home so it made both our nights!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our first go at this fine eatery located in a fabulous building in our pretty city. The girls get along with the cocktails list moving upwards one cocktail at a time. Lots of laughters and gossips have a hint that the cocktails were yumm and they were doing their job. Somehow we felt that the tall, bare brick wall needed a painting. Perhaps the upbeat ,usic also felt slightly out of place.
The food was fantastic. As you come to expect from these fine dining places, each meal has several components, complimenting each other with flavours and textures. Charred pumpkin, battered cauliflower, duck breast, fillet steak and the sweet course of sorbet were all high quality. Our friends felt that sous vide meat loses its texture comapred to cooking steak on a pan, hence they weren't a huge fan. The vegetarian guest felt her jackfruit lacked some flavours.
Overall, a fantastic first experience and we all agreed we will be back for more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow Moiety is amazing! Had such a fabulous dinner sitting up at the bar so we could watch all the action. the Oysters were outstanding! Melted seaweed butter cooked over charcoal highly recommend. All of the dishes were super tasty and executed with such care and attention to detail. We will certainly be returning the next time we are in town.
