β β β β β My girlfriend Debbie & I went on the 3 hr trip last Sunday & had a really neat time. Sam was a really great skipper and so informative about the river and itβs history - but not OTT (thank you)β¦ He was both fun and genuine, we got lucky as the weather was amazing & the cafe was so cool.
A fabulous old vessel and it was a privilege to know itβs history and be part of it for a few hours. A true Wanganui treasure. Thank you from us both.

The boat captain was both friendly and professional and we had complete confidence in his charge of the vessel. Would highly recommend this experience if you are visiting the area and have a few hours to spare.

β β β β β A great trip up the river with Sam. Very professional, competent, and informative. Had a very nice 1 hour stop at Upokongaro village, meeting with some locals and enjoying a coffee at the cafe. Highly recommended trip.

river boat. The trip was a highlight of our Whanganui visit, highly recommend.

β β β β β We went on the boat to Hipango Park for a picnic outing what an amazing day out Sam the skipper and Mel first mate were awesome his knowledge of the river and its history made for an informative trip lovely scenery and a beautiful spot to picnic could cruise the river every weekend.
I highly recommend that you take the time to chill out on the boat and enjoy the day out I'll be definitely going again in the future
