★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Definitely a gem in a very remote, back country natural inland. It’s not very popular n therefore retains its very nature. It’s a very long n winding gravel road that means low speed driving. There’s no car park n u have to park at the entrance that’s just on the road side. U are warned not to drive new n nice cars as I did, you’ll have a very dusty car when u are back home!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Motu Falls.... raging water .... and such brute force. One of my top 5 waterfalls I have visited in New Zealand. Direction to Motu falls is easily displayed. few kms of gravel road but not a bad road. I took my light car and she did well. Best time to travel - when there is lots of rain. We were stoked with the sheer volume of water this waterfall catered.
