No. Adjustments do not always have to create a sound. It is a common misconception that it is the bones moving back into place that creates the sound of some patients here when they get adjusted. The sound is being produced by a fluid surrounding the joints throughout the body. This fluid contains dissolved gases and during an adjustment, the slight movement causes a release of pressure.
This release of pressure is kind of like the pressure that is released when a bottle of champagne is opened and just like with champagne, a popping sound occurs. It is not important to hear a sound when you get adjusted. It’s important that there was movement and the movement was in the right direction. We check this movement and motion after each adjustment to ensure the proper correction has been made.

Gordy was a great practitioner and we are sad to see him go, but are extremely happy with David who has taken over his role. I highly recommend anyone who has spinal problems to check them out. David is firm but gentle in his manipulations and has a great eye for what is wrong even before making adjustments. ☆☆☆☆☆!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been visiting David for about 3 months now to get my spine adjusted. I initially went to see him on the recommendation of a friend as I was suffering some neck pain.
I had never been to a chiropractor before and was a bit skeptical but physio wasn't working or massages so went in with an open mind. After an initial consultation and x-ray he told me the pain was due to my spine being out of alignment and started adjusting it.
Not only has all the pain disappeared, but my quality of sleep has improved immensely, my levels of energy have increased, amazing clarity of mind and calmness and improved digestion!
I had no idea how good I could feel (as I felt fairly healthy before!) and how the body can heal itself with the right help. I'm genuinely amazed and I haven't taken a single painkiller.
Would not hesitate to recommend David and his amazing team Ruth and Angela at Mount Chiropractic to anyone!
