β β β β β I would actually give negative stars if I could. O.K, walked in just after lunch, no one in line, stood at counter about 1 min , literally, then a young lady came back into the store to work, saw me but didn't bother coming to the counter right away. Then another minute passes, she comes to serve me. Now, I've done customer service jobs and Operational jobs managing staff over 15 years, this is a moment where the staff is only there to collect the pay. I don't even remember a smile. She didn't even asked to scan my Coffee Club card, which is the reason I went there! then while i waited to pay , she asks a lady next to me rudely, do you want anything? Cmon man, theres a better way to ask a customer. Anyways, I Don't recommend this disaster of a shop, go down the mall to the choco place where they are friendly and give free chocos with your coffee. Lastly, the coffee was a latte, and it was too strong, barely come close to what a latte should be, and also my cup was fully wet on the outside when I grabbed it? jez man, make an effort, especially during these tough times.

β β β β β Muffin break paraparaumu has gone so downhill, the staff are super unfriendly and not welcoming at almost every experience I have had as of lately. apart from Michael- he is the best , friendly, attentive and honestly the best barista ever, Everyone else needs to step up to his level. I went there just before 5pm to buy a muffin and they werenβt selling anymore .. like what.. woman there was unfriendly as well. Genuinely disappointed with my experiences lately. Need to advertise Michaels schedule so people know when they can get good service and a good coffee

β β β β β Current staff are unfriendly, sullen & service is pretty appalling . Ordered takeaway coffee and although 3 staff in cafe no one wanted to make my coffee!! No smiles & general feel is not great. Coffee eventually done & was ok, hence the 2 stars. They need to work on customer service.

β β β β β Friendly service, a card giving a free coffee every five ( so like 20% off), half price muffins later in the afternoon ?. The coffee was ok, but didn't have much punch

β β β β β Service great. Staff working as a team. Hot chocolate hit the spot sweet and long.
The accolades stop there. Savoury muffin was the worst I have ever had. Could not eat it all. Was hungry however threw it in the bin.
It was stodgy and dry (weird) and lacked a ham and cheese flavour.
Will not visit Muffin Break for food in future just drinks.

β β β β β Had a 'traditional' club sandwich, but the bread was dry, and no margarine or mayonnaise included. Not the standard I would expect.

β β β β β Divine smell as you approach. Initially thought the coffee price was a bit steep until I saw the size, definitely worth $5 for a medium flat white.
Friendly staff and well made hot drinks

β β β β β Muffin Break Paraparaumu was extremely disappointing this afternoon. Ordered one ham and cheese croissant and all they had to do was toast it. Waited for almost 15mins and they only had two customers in between my order and forgot about my croissant. Two people working and not even paying attention. They burnt it and apologised with itβs been a long day. I will not go here again.
