★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a great experience, having not had my second vaccine we had to take away which is fair enough. The coffee and cheesecake were nice, the rest was poor. The slice tasted terrible, I cant even describe what it was other than heavily processed. The muffin was dry and the panini was over heated then tossed onto the counter carelessly causing the filling to spill out everywhere.
Once upon a time this place was nice, very disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Coffee was terrible. A long Black should never be served in a big cup. Coffee tasted burnt and bitter. Toasted sandwich was nice but had burnt pieces from something else on the edges. Any wonder the place was empty at lunchtine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First visit to Upper Hutts own Muffin Break franchise after walking past it for many years. I think a few of the previous reviews are fairly harsh, the service is slow I agree ?. The egg, spinach and pine nut square I ate was huge, very tasty and cheap at $7.50. The Muffin was excellent and again very good value for money (VFM) ?. Coffee cup was huge and again VFM, but a little weak. I guess compared to Wellington City equivilent cafes, this Muffin Break is fairly good family value
