★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a very bad experience at this Barber shop. All the staff are female. I told to shorter the hair only on side but she did the front hair also. Now waiting for hair to regrow. Since its a busy shop they try to wrap up faster for the next customer. They take less than 15 mins for a haircut.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Always a good cut here, so long as you time your arrival right as men's cuts are usually taken on demand and they are often quite busy, so there is often a queue. There is also a loyalty discount card for the regulars which is always a bonus.

Went in for a hair cut, have been going here for years without issues but this particular time I did a walk in and have never felt so humiliated in my entire life. Was next in line and the old lady declined to service me no reason given. Just a brisk sneer, an "oh I'm not doing you" with hand wave. And trying to pass me off to another barber. I don't know if it's the fact I'm part maori, an older trans masc who doesn't pass but is obvious queer, or if shes was too old to realize that even cis-het woman get clipper cuts these days and will only service cis guys. Initially I was going to take it on the chin but another 5-10mins of waiting for another free barber who would accept my custom getting side-eyed by staff and customers in a very busy shop but I couldn't and ended up fleeing in tears.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Murrays over good haircuts at reasonable prices. It's easy to get a cut at any time, as they have a few barbers ready and waiting for clients. They follow my directions quite well and are thus able to cut my hair so that it looks exactly like I want it to look.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Please update your hours, I turned up at 5.10pm for a haircut and was told closed for haircuts though your online hours state 5.30pm. There was no one in the shop at the time.
