Can’t wait to return.
Love this place. They do a great Potato Masala Dosa and vegetarian Dahl, and while the decor is simple everything looks clean and the staff always say a cheerful hi when they see me back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best south Indian food I ever had in Wellington, egg dosai was exactly like Indian style no compromise on taste and size was really big and sambar, chutneys flavor was awsome, Fish fry amazing never had a fish fry like that Indian street side fish fry taste, and beef sukka was amazing as well but the most important thing was the dessert Gluab Jamun man it was hot and the taste was sooo good, like best ever I had when compared to any other Indian restaurant. Hats off Muthu best South Indian restaurant in Wellington, a must try one.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Malaysian food in Wellington!! We live in the Hutt Valley but Sambal Malaysian Restaurant is the first choice when we want to eat out. My favourite dishes are Roti Chenai with chicken curry, Nasi goreng, Char hor fun, Char Kway teow.
Friendly staff, homely ambience and unbeatably tasty food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If your craving for authentic Malaysian cuisine then this is the place to visit. The garlic roti along with the RENDANG chicken curry was amazing. Chicken satay with peanut sauce was absolutely delicious. Chicken Murtabak with curry sauce was the best I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend this restaurant ( it’s under new management) . Great ? job new management.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ EXCELLENT service and authentic Malaysian food. We are glad that we decided to dine in this Malaysian restaurant yesterday. Food was amazing we ordered mango lassi, spring roll, plain roti,Gulai corner fish and okra, and a very tasty egg plant dish... Friendly staff and matchless food!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want top quality authentic Southern Indian or Malaysian, go here. The flavours are superb. I was so impressed with freshness of the dishes. I loved the Beef rendang and the onion Bhaji were spot on with generous peanut and yoghurt sauces. My son cleaned up the peanut sauce with his very generous main of lamb Kothu Parotta. This was a tasty Street food dish of chopped up lamb.
Muthus is in a set of local shops including a nearby dairy. My son and I were just walking past and noticed it. Muthu is ex Cambridge Hotel, another place that I enjoyed his meals. It was so great to catch up again. His new place on Broadway at Miramar is absolutely worth the visit. Other reviewers say the same.
