We are located on the iconic Marine Parade, right in the hearth of CBD, across the road from Napier iSite.

We are short walk from many hotels and motels in town and many great hospitality spots. And there's plenty of parking nearby.

Hawke's Bay is perfect all year round cycling destination, so you will find us here every day except Christmas Day and the one or two days when it's actually raining :)

β β β β β Thank you for making our Napier holiday memorable. We hired a couple of e-bikes to head out to the wineries. The bikes were well set up and ran like a dream Absolutely brilliant!! Even when we were late back due to some wrong turns the guy was very understanding! 100% recommend this company.

β β β β β After a mechanical with my own bike on day 1 of our week-long stay, I checked out Napier City Bike Hire for a 'replacement' so I could still explore the Hawkes Bay Trails as planned. Picked up one of their EBikes and couldn't have had better service or setup for a successful week of cycling.
The bike was great quality, reliable & comfortable to ride. Jan was helpful and friendly with a great knowledge of the trails and good guidance. Provided with everything needed for a day out cycling, lock, maps & handy carrier. Even dropped out a replacement bike when I snagged a puncture on a ride. Also handy location on Marine Parade to launch any cycling adventure, highly recommend!

β β β β β HAWKE'S BAY BIKE RIDE:
We booked our bikes online with Napier Bike Hires 2 days before our cruise stopped in Napier. Accessing the shop was easy since the Cruise Port offered a shuttle that stops right across the shop on Marine Parade rd.
As we checked in (they already had our bikes ready), they gave us bike helmets & bags, maps & instructions to get to the wineries. Very friendly & useful customer service! You can fill your water bottles there as well.
Most of the ride to the south wineries is on a coastal bike pathway so no need to deal with cars except on very few streets.
* PAY ATTENTION TO THE DEDICATED BIKE & PEDESTRIAN UNDERPASSES TO AVOID CROSSING THE HIGHWAYS! Follow the signs that point to CLIVE, then TE AWANGA, but you will find the wineries just before TE AWANGA town. Bring water & sunblock.
It is a 15 miles bike easy ride each way to Elephant Hill winery, the first of the three wineries nearby.
At Elephant Hill winery you will find an indoor restaurant and an outdoors wine testing bar. There is plenty indoor & outdoor seating to enjoy the views. Nice and friendly service, some small plates & snacks available as well.
Be aware that the ride back is harder since you have to push against the headwinds. If you are not an experienced cyclist you might want to upgrade to an E-bike. The coastal views are beautiful near the canals. Just follow the bike path.
Check-out was quick & easy. We had a very nice ride.

β β β β β Service above and beyond. Walked in off the street plenty of bikes ready to go and the process of getting on the road was quick and painless. Quality bikes took us the 16km around to the wineries. Very easy ride and beautiful as well. They loaded us up with maps, good advice and gear to get us their comfortably with time enough to go at our own slow pace. They had a shuttle bus to collect us from the winery a few hours later (which was perfect after some "tastings") and dropped us back at the door to the shop. All in all, top notch.

Bikes could do with some maintenance but told them this at the end and they said they will take a look.
Nice and cruisey team there and have us all the details we needed!

β β β β β We had the best experience dealing with Jan, he was so accomodating to our needs with our group wanting to cycle.
He spent a lot of time tailoring a package to suit our group doing wine tasting, he was adaptable with the weather and put in real effort with communicating the best options.
He ended up driving us around Hawkes Bay to wineries to suit the weather.
We would highly recommend and would definitely use Jan and this company again!

β β β β β Myself and three friends walked in today and the service was so so friendly and refreshing. We were given great advice on where to go and time was taken to fit us all correctly and comfortably with our bikes and helmets. We were also told it was okay if we ran a little over our 2 hour slot, as long as we got back before 5:00pm. Iβd recommend this place to everyone! Such a cheap and cheerful way to spend a few hours.
