Napier's Premium Shore Excursion includes bottled water, local fruit and small souvenirs 

Napier is regarded as the "Art Deco Capital of the World"  Hastings City is referred to as Napier's sister City.

For this reason, you will be taken on a tour that will explain the rebuilding of Napier following the devastating 1931 earthquake. this was the catalyst of what Napier is today. Napier's world famous Art Deco scene is a priority on the day. You will learn why Art Deco? What is Art Deco? You will see past historical images of many points of interest as you tour through the Art Deco Suburbs to see fantastic examples or Art Deco that are located "off the tourist track". These will include the National tobacco building and a lovingly kept 1930's Art Deco housing estate.

Tour itinerary

Your tour will include a visit to Hastings city. Also built of mostly Art Deco and seldom talked about. This will be your opportunity to have a tea or coffee in a fantastic period building, before returning back to Napier.

As you return to Napier, you will then take another route via some fantastic rural countryside. You will drive through what we consider some of the best scenery in New Zealand. This portion takes in Sheep farming, Cattle farming, Deer Farming. You may see Donkeys, Orchards, Vineyards and much more... Not a lot of time is given here, it is treated as a return route with a wow factor.
