★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great staff, really up-close encounters, best value for money of the wildlife centers I've visited in New Zealand.
One thing that really stood out to me was the tree in the museum section. It's quite ingenious; having light sensors triggering the screens to show whichever animal you are shining the torch on. A really effective tool but easy to achieve.
The food in the cafe onsite is quite good and decent value for money. I had a venison pie which came with a salad, both were delicious.
