★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great historical plaques commemorating the early ships in Nelson. Very pleasant spot on a good day with harbour views, the boulderbank and the cut. Very good cafe adjacent, also fresh fish and a fish and chips shop

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice memorial that hits close to home for me. 7 generations ago my family came from Germany and I am pleased to see their names on one of the plaques. The plaques also contain information about each boat that came, telling the story of the travellers.
