β β β β β Everything was good and still good but the behaviour of security staff at entrance made me to change my store, yesterday i made 2 visits to store on my first visit a female with her kid came out after shopping and angry at security because he refused her kid to enter inside store due to not wearing any footwear ( the reason they gave health and safety) and on my second visit saw another female with her shirtless kid and entered store no problem from security( rules should apply to everyone or there should be no rules) and today i was in hurry and phone running low on battery stopped by security to scan (i know its covid time and Iβm fully vaccinated guy visit new world store almost everyday do scans ) when i told him that Iβm going to another store he was laughing at me really such a narcissist behaviour.

β β β β β New World Papakura is clean and has a good variety of goods. We used to make it a must store to visit because we loved the Kura beef sausages. Unfortunately since the lockdown has finished the sausages are not the same , they seem to have more meal added rather than the chunky meat. We have found another local butcher who has the decent meaty sausage we like. The staff at New World are efficent and helpful and because I know what they offer I call in on an irregular basis to purchase the specific goods that I know they stock.

Has what you need ,alot of meat selection.
Shelf are stocked always on my visits.
Staff working hard.
Never really see costumers asking where anything is,because shells are stocked and never an empty spot on shelf.
Great store,can't fault

β β β β β I was stopped from entering store because I didn't have a gold card Sunday 23/01/22 around lunchtime. Red light didn't come into effect until 11.59pm Sunday night. Was told to join queue outside on other side of entrance l came in. I'm 65 next month and wasn't going to stand in 28 degrees to get a few groceries. Went round to countdown had no hassles bo queue and bought my groceries ?

β β β β β Today is the 4th time in the past 6 weeks that I have had to return product that either has expired or is about to expire and should not have been on the shelf. In each case I have had to have a stand up argument to get it sorted and today really was the worst. I purchased some Anchor Cream Cheese on the 19th May and when I went to use it yesterday, the 24th I found it said BB 24/05/22!. I didn't open it, I put it back in the fridge to return today on my way home from work.
I took it to customer services, the staff member had to go and consult a number of people before the Operation Manager, MANDEEP was called.
MANDEEP said it had been opened! and he couldn't take it back. I pointed out that it hadn't been opened and took the plastic lid off to show it was totally sealed and unopened. Then he said it was room temperature!!! yes correct, its been in my car all day, was he intending to put it back on the shelf??? its expired for goodness sake!!!! What sort of an Operation Manager can't tell the difference between something that has been opened or hasn't ???? I was totally astounded and infuriated that I had to have an argument to have something that exchanged that should not have been on the shelf!!!
The last incident was also Cream Cheese, again I had to have an argument to get it sorted. It was expired when I purchased it and I couldn't even exchange it 2 days later as all the Cream Cheese in the fridge was expired.
I recently pointed out to a staff member that the YOLO, Cheese Board packs were all past their use by date by 5 days, he said thank goodness my boss didn't see that and laughed! I have spent $2,100.00 in New World Papakura in the past 6 weeks, and that is just for 1 person. I won't be ever shopping there again. Their service is totally substandard.

β β β β β Great little store that is always nice and tidy and most times have fully stocked shelves. I love the deli section with the wide variety of meats, salads, etc and the meat is definitely topnotch. I always get great service and it is always a pleasure shopping here.

β β β β β New World Papakura is my go to grocery place in Paps because it has everything my family need. Also, the entire place is superbly organised, easy to find products, great lighting inside and out. Every week I find new products worth trying. Fresh array of produce. Meat section and bakery are my faves. Most importantly the staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming.
