I hired the truck for 4 hours. They are cheap priced which is only good thing but they told me that the left side loading door is not working properly and need to be closed with care. I used the truck and they told me to park the truck after use and drip the keys in the shop through a key box. And then after 2 3 days they messaged me about my bank details for the bond refund. I gave the details. And weeks gone. Then I asked again and the receptionist told me they are processing tge refund and told me that I have driven the truck about 100+kms. i told the that the truck was driven only 12 kms and i took the photos of odometer when i parked the truck. Then they asked me for proof. I sent the pictures and I got this in reply: "It is very hard to believe that you only did 12km from 12.30pm-5pm. It's best of if you come in and see us regarding this" I dont know what science justify their fact that if u hire a truck for 4 hours then you cant drive it for as less as 12kms. I rang them and then the receptionist gave the phone to the boss and he said we cant pay you full refund of the bond as we have broken the left side door and he also added that because of the broken door they were unable to give this truck to any other customer and the truck is just parked from weeks. Unbelievable to know all this when weeks have passed. Second thing is if the truck was not running since i returned then on what parameters they were going to duduct money for 100+kms. Someone must have checked the odometer and found that the truck ran 100+ kms since i hired it. They i went to the shop next morning and the boss was full of anger and shown me the broken door and told me its been parked like that since i left. He said i can check the odometer too. I took a picture of the odometer and after i came home and calculated the kms I found the truck was driven 600+ kms in these couple weeks. I am thinking of going into the consumer tribunal againt them. I am also attaching the pics of odometer when i left the truck outside their shop and finally when i went to talk to the boss. I finally got my refund after the right deduction of kms. But still short by $2. So everyone please be aware of this broken door thing when you hire from them. Who knows how many customers became/will become the victim of this broken door plan
