This school is very misleading in its information. They don't take into consideration other responsibilities. I would highly recommend not attending this institute.

The management system is horrible, paid hella money to be treated poorly, to gain unnecessary knowledge and was forced to purchase the uniform which was incredibly expensive only to be worn for a short period of time. Nothing what I expected it to be, very very disappointed. glad I left.?

This school will say anything and everything to get you to enrol. My experience here was far from what they promised. We were promised amazing internships but when the time came, they told us we couldn’t do that internship unless we did the next level the following year even though they said we could do at our current level when we began the enrolment process. During my enrolment at nzst, we had about 3-4 different campus managers within a year and it was hard to keep up with who to report to and who was in charge of what. Communication between staff and students was appalling, we weren’t alerted about important dates or events until the very last minute. We were told that we would have help securing internships but we did not have any help and the staff were not helpful at all, we had little information about internships and the information that we did have was not certain as different staff would tell students different things. Had a very hard time getting through the course this year (2021) when we were suddenly given a new head trainer? Not sure as this guy was VERY rude and didn’t even introduce himself. Basically told us that our campus was the worst in the country and that he wasn’t impressed with our class. This course did not prepare me for the tourism/hospitality work industry at all, I had to learn everything from scratch because what I was being taught at NZST was very outdated, I’m talking about 10+ years outdated.. this was evident when completing workbooks, some information and statistics would be from 2013 which is not recent at all in the tourism industry and we were even using computer systems that hotels don’t even use anymore, we were basically learning irrelevant information. The only great thing about this school were the amazing trainers who actually cared about students personal and professional well-being, they didn’t care about how smart you were, they cared about you as a person. Sadly, those amazing trainers were pushed to leave the campus and many students with them. In conclusion, don’t waste your $ or time.If i could rate zero stars, i would.

The school is very mis leading with what they say they will provide. The campus manager is an awful person to deal with and the information they teach is not new and accurate. A lot of it being information from early 2000’s. Don’t waste money going to this establishment, it’s not worth it.

In Two Years : I've raised two instances of severe Cyber Bullying of a student, lack of internal recourses to support a student and now after a Teacher Openly Complained about individual students in front of an entire class (I forced a student to attend today) with No Teacher was present in the class. They promise industry recognition and placement into the workforce (but student get there on their own grit and these opportunities they make themselves)- This institution is a joke, not a school or learning institution.
