★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I did quite a bit of research on your group before booking. For a group of experienced older hikers, this was the perfect trip. You were well organized, competent, safe, and supplied us with a really great New Zealand experience that we will remember forever!. Having two great New Zealand guides gave it the magic touch. Can’t say enough about Tim and Chris. They both excelled in a way that made all of us feel confident, safe, excited, and special. It was a mixed group of people, but they helped everybody to achieve everything that they wanted. These are two genuine individuals that sincerely cared about their charges and bent over backwards to make their experience just terrific. Not to leave anybody out, Jody was great on the sales side and gave us enough information so we could make our decisions properly. Tash was great setting up all the details and was very responsive to all of our needs. Thanks to both of them. This trip ranked well up on the list of the best trips that we’ve ever taken, including base camp Everest, Kilimanjaro, India Himalayas, and Iceland. I might add that this is the only trip that inspired me to want to come back to the same country again! New Zealand is awesome!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What drew me to New Zealand Trails was their variety of packages and experiences. What got me to book were their people.
From start to finish, they are the nicest, hard-working, honest, ethical and fun-to-work-with professionals you will ever meet. And forget about finish. There is no finish. We will schedule again in a few years.
From the start, they sought out and listened to the needs of my wife and I. We don't like to ask for anything different than the group, but they care. They want you to enjoy the experience. While my wife and I are still excellent hikers, age has made us less than excellent at sleep. Somehow, they found a way to accommodate us so we would be comfortable.
Jodi was beyond fabulous. In fact, everyone that my wife and I worked with was wonderful. There must be a little village in New Zealand that rears adventurous children into fabulous adults for New Zealand Trails to recruit its workers and guides.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New Zealand Trails are an amazing company - the staff are passionate about sharing their country and always ready to help their guests, whether they are out on the road or in the office. First of all, the on paper offering for the Kiwi Classic Tour was jam packed with activities and destinations...what we got in reality was more than I would ever have guessed! We had some hiccups due to weather, but our guides Kristy and Chris took it in their stride and kept the adventure happening. And the staff in the office sorted new arrangements quickly. The destinations were well planned, we got to see some amazing country off the regular tourist track, and meet friendly people all willing to tell us about their home. We weren't even halfway through the tour and the group was trying to figure out how we could stay longer!!
Thank you for an amazing trip, inspiring stories and friendship.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ SHIZAMM! How do I describe my New Zealand Trails (Kiwi Classic) trip to my friends and family? Epic!
New Zealand was a bucket-list trip of a lifetime for my mother and I and New Zealand Trails did not disappoint. This company organized, structured and arranged for one of the finest group tours I have ever experienced. The devil is in the details and this company didn’t leave any stone unturned. Their thoughtfulness, careful planning and organization were excellent.
They hire the best staff (Kim and Vaughan and don’t forget Jodi and Alex) who take care of every need and concern along the way. Their guides have amazing emotional intelligence and vast education on the region. Every piece of this trip was arranged perfectly to give us a 110% visual/adventure experience of New Zealand.
Their meticulous detail planning allowed me to truly kick back and just be completely emerged in the culture and the ride. If you are ever thinking about trying a group tour, this is the place to start.
For a 40-year-old (in shape) guy, this was the perfect combination of adventure, action, and boundaries I wanted to push myself to experience. My 60+ year old mom accompanied me on this trip and it was amazing how they allowed her to have a customized (to her level) trip along with my desire to push and stretch my physical limits while on the trail.
Thank you NZT for giving us the memories of a lifetime and the opportunity to have new humans in our lives that we never thought we would meet. A++ Sincerely, Kip (Boise, Idaho)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Epic!!!! I had some reservations about the trip (Kiwi Classic), activity level, value for the money, and my physical activity ability-level. All of these were resolved with the trip and I couldn't be more pleased that I did this. I do think the 3 day backpacking is physically challenging as described in the brochure....but it was exhilarating, challenging, and breathtaking at the same time. I have never done a trip like this and I wanted to challenge myself and this was the ideal trip designed for that and it hit every thing I wanted. Often on these trips you have down or boring days but on this trip each day was wonderful and as good as or better than the last. That's hard to do/maintain! And who cares about getting up early if you can swim with Dusky dolphins! Even the car transport times were fun.
So (as you may gather) it's a wonderful, well designed trip with all the logistics well thought out. This is one of those instances that words can't adequately describe the beauty of your country or the impact this trip made on me. It was a very moving, soulful, memorable trip. Your staff (Tash in the back office) were extremely helpful and responsive, prompt in answering questions and sending itinerary details . And our wonderful guides Ky/Shona made every day really terrific and are great resources of your company. Thanks!!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great adventure travel. Fabulous staff. Excellent logistics. The team will show you places only the Kiwis know (and love). Small group travel carefully planned and executed. Excellent value for the money. The only way to see the REAL NZ (unless you want to drive yourself and I would not recommend that..).
