A bit late to the rating party however I got nothing negative to say about this place! My 2 midwives were so lovely, very attentive and genuine. My room was very spacious To accomodate visitors and warm for baby. Jade (the food prep lady) was very nice too! Thank you Nga Hau for making my stay enjoyable! I will be back!

I feel very lucky to have given birth at this beautiful birth centre. It is new, immaculately kept and very peaceful. My midwife was fantastic and I felt very well looked after the entire time. Every room has a birthing pool, a double bed and lots of space. The staff were very understanding about us having to bring our toddler with us in the middle of the night. I would highly recommend anyone with a low risk pregnancy to birth here for a very empowering and positive experience.

Have recommended this place to all of my friends. 5 meals a day (3 main meals, morning tea + afternoon tea), queen sized bed with hotel quality bathroom. Very supportive and informative staff. It's free!!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars I would. I’m a first time mum and chose Nga Hau to birth my girl because my sister in law birthed here in 2020, each room has a birthing bath, the facility is still very new and I wanted to avoid hospitals. I gave birth earlier than expected on the 13th of May but labour began the night before. My midwife Dinah was unavailable the night of the 12th but her colleague Hillary talked me through everything and let me know to come in once I reached a certain point with my contractions. I went through contractions at home for as long as possible then ended up at Nga Hau around midnight. Although Dinah was unable to be there that night I still felt very comfortable with Hillary and the student midwife Amber. They kept encouraging and guiding me through the contractions all throughout the night. When morning came Dinah arrived and I felt the myself transitioning into the pushing stage then my girl was born. I birthed her in the bath and she arrived perfect and healthy. I was so exhausted after birth but Dinah and Amber prioritised my care and did all of the after birth checks on me as quick as possible. I was so uncomfortable but they kept apologising the whole time and talked me through everything that they were doing to me and why it was necessary. Amber did a VERY long shift and didn’t leave until everything was all good, massive thanks to her. My partner and I stayed at Nga Hau for a few nights and I believe the extra recovery time I got there contributed massively to my positive birth experience. Each room has a large bed in so my partner could stay with us the entire time which made the experience even better. We got to bond with baby alone before sharing her with the world and the midwives checked up on myself and baby regularly. I was struggling with breast feeding and the midwives really took their time especially Bev the lactation consultant to help baby and I become more confident before we we went home. Massive thanks to everyone at Nga Hau for giving my family such a wonderful experience, I’ll treasure the memories there forever and will definitely be back. Highly recommend Dinah for a midwife too, she will take great care of any mama out there and I’ll definitely be using her again for baby number 2.

We birthed here in November and absolutely loved our experience. The staff are lovely and totally invaluable. With midwives and lactation consultants available 24/7, the daunting first couple of days as new parents became a beautiful time to recover, learn and bond with bub. The facilities are amazing (even the assessment room where baby made a quick entrance) with spacious rooms (double bed, ensuite and birthing pool in every room) and great food. Nga Hau was one of the only places allowing partners to stay overnight and we feel very lucky to have been able to birth here. Our midwife, Dinah Otukolo and back up Ellen Worley, were amazing to journey with, thank you ladies!
