★ ★ ★ ★ ★ based on positive google reviews I got a cab here from the airport. Arriving just after they opened I figured the filter coffee would be fresh. It was warm and had a recycled taste. If the filter had been running the aroma would have been in the room. The local supermarket has ready ground coffee way better; this was a really poor catering blend. The cup and saucer showed signs of dishwasher residue. My omelette was OK; loaded with ham cheese and tomato. It came with fried bread toast. Greasy spoon plate and cutlery. I asked for a barista coffee which was made with the same tired ready ground and definitely low temperature water. If you charge for top grade you should deliver top grade. Wellington has some great coffee supply houses. More crockery with tide marks. Coffee had a chicory edge. This place could be a 5 star cafe with some attention to detail, the dishwasher, the coffee brand, the temperature of the espresso machine. My chicory theory later confirmed by my kidneys. This may have been a great spot once. It needs staff training and some equipment maintenance and a good house coffee. The location is perfect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quaint little cafe nestled in amongst the more modern shops and eateries in Kilbirnie. The friendly woman who served me was pleasant and welcoming. I had a nice cheese, tomato, lettuce sandwich for $3.00 which I thought was a great price. Looking at the blackboard menu, I noticed that the meals on offer were reasonable prices too. This cafe looks like it offers food that is very good honest down to earth humble food... with prices to match.
Lovely clean cafe, with good food, will definitely come back. Cheers ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am usually pretty nervous going to places in general, but as soon as I went in, I was greeted with warmth and friendliness! ? It's a cute little corner coffee shop. Staff is super lovely! No loud music or uncomfortable atmosphere. Just a nice, homely, cozy shop. ♥ And the mocha was delicious! ☕ Definitely will be returning!
