★ ★ ★ ★ ★ the experience in-store was all good up until we placed the order for a sofa. Delivery was delayed by a month, 16 weeks after putting down a deposit. They keep “tentatively” scheduling in a delivery date but change it 1-2 days before the sofa was due to arrive. Frustrating to reorganise a time for someone to be home to meet a new delivery time. left a bad experience after spending $$$

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We bought our first sofa from Rae who was very accomodating and patient with us. She is really helpful and knowledgeable about the products, transparent and honest about the delivery times. We even referred her to our friends. They were clear about the timeframe of the delivery even before we purchased the sofa. The store manager Kayla, is a life saver!!! We had delays on our settlement date but she helped us not to lose our purchase due to the delay. We felt her support and understanding on our unusual situation. She even took our calls and messages after office hours. Kudos to Nick Scali Mt Wellington branch for having Rae and Kayla in their team! Highly recommend both of them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delivery takes 6-9 months not 12-16 weeks. If you want to get your sofa within 4 months definitely do not buy here. I’ve already been waiting 6 months for my two sofas with my latest tentative booking for mid January however every 2 weeks I get a new date so not expecting I will even get it at 8 months. Seriously long time to wait for furniture! Wish I had gone to a more reliable business

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If I could give Nick Scali 0 stars, I would. I purchased a couch back in July 2021 and after 31 weeks of waiting I am yet to receive it. I am now no longer getting updates on shipment delays and every time I call, I receive a new ETA. When I spoke with the store manager, I asked what customers are currently being told as expected delivery times and was told 14-20 weeks. I am well and truly past that, no compensation offered only to cancel my order, after THIRTY. ONE. WEEKS. Buyer Beware. I can see why you ended up on Fair go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst customer service I have ever encountered here in NZ. The manager has no empathy, does not listen, and is very closed minded. I ordered a bed frame which unfortunately did not fit the bedroom of the house we moved into. I wasn’t planning on canceling my order but was asking for help to resell given that it will not fit the purpose as it was too big and cannot fit in the bedroom. It was not a change of mind regarding the purchase as I would love to have the bed frame only if it will fit the bedroom. The bed frame in fact has not arrived and was not delivered yet when I requested help with this purchase. This was not the only furniture I purchased and was hoping for some customer empathy or at least loyalty. However, this was not the case and in fact just the worst customer experience I ever had. I will never ever purchase anything again from Nick Scali. It says they are kiwi owned, but what I have experienced is far off from the kiwi culture I am used to and that I know of.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is my first purchase from Nick Scali, the TV entertainment unit was purchased from showroom in Mt Wellington, the delivery date and information was provided during purchase. Delivery came on mentioned date, item was delivered and assembled in my living room. No hassles.
I was aware that the packaging was my responsibility to throw away, this is obvious if you have ever bought any large item from any retailer and if you open the item up days later you can't expect the retailer days latter to come and pickup the packaging.
Will purchase again.
