★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst noodle canteen Ive had in the country. Honey chicken was more like noodle soup and Nasi goreng had hard and burnt rice. Very unfortunate experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I go here about twice a year and every time it seems to get worse. The meals taste average now but prices still go up.
Whole store needs a revamp and a good clean, dust on top of the bug sprayer was almost black with how much there was.
There are still children working there, the young boy works the register and sometimes I see him cooking.
I don't think I will be back unless there is a major change or new owners.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a large order which was made at a reasonable speed. Served by a kid that looked 12 but knew what he was doing (owners child?). I usually love noodle canteen but at this particular branch the food was very dry and bland, lacking the usual delicious sauce at other branches. I had a tofu option and sadly their tofu was not great... Would have expected a lot better for $11.

My husband and I got honey chicken on rice, had to take them back as everything was burnt and there was no sauce. Order was remade and still no sauce, rice and veges were bland it felt like chewing water and then the chicken had a weird flavor. They refuse to refund so had to throw the whole lot out and waste $30. Should have checked the reviews before hand, don't make our mistake.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!! I have made a formal complaint with the Gisborne City Council. This owner/occupier should not be in the business of food. Terrible food and service!!! I have read through the reviews only wishing I had seen them before tonight’s visit. Every single negative mention about the food, staff and place is unfortunately true. I actually had to get insect repellent from my car to chase the flies away from me and my children!! My next step is to get in touch with the Noodle Canteen Head quarters. Couldn’t believe I was told tonight by the lady behind the counter that the locals like to eat their rice hard and uncooked!!!
I’m sorry, did I just hear right?!
Very sad and disgusting doesn’t even begin to describe how awful this food outlet is.
