★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whangaroa Health services turning away patients because they're short staffed. Sick people have to either suffer their illness or drive a further 50km to the next nearest hospital or made to wait 2 hours to be told come back another day. #ThisIsBullshit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ On time and friendly service for my appt at Kawakawa Hospital. Very few car parks though, it must be difficult for less abled people who can't get one, as the hill up to the hospital from the residential area is quite steep.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was discharged without my mental health being cleared. I don't remember much but was found by community mental health nurses who were shocked that I was discharged the way I was and one nurse commenting " they let you leave the hospital like that". My family who were coming coming visit me had no idea I was discharged friends past and saw me standing there in the rain in my hospital gown, bare feet down the road. I am not from Whangarei, had no idea where I was and reflecting back up really upset that I was treated this way. I wasn't asked where I was going, how I was getting home and I was not in the space to discuss my history.
