★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Yes the mechanics is a real character but he is just making jokes and he is funny, just do not take his remarks and questions too seriously ! He fixed our flat tyre on a rainy Sunday morning for a fair price. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very rude mechanic. I walked up to his shop and made a friendly enquiry to him. He completely ignored me and walked past me five times without saying anything. After this incredible rudeness, he then barked at me asking what I wanted. I explained I had broken down and why - he laughed. He then proceeded to take joy in the fact that I had broken down, and at the end, said he could not help me as he did not have the tools. He also boasted during this rant that he was on the clock for another job and was earning money whilst talking to me. I ended up having to hitch hike to Hokitika and back to sort it all out. Less than one star.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whilst the lady at the till was great this is THE most expensive fuel station in New Zealand. $2,44.99 for unleaded 91 - ouch! Rather go to Franz Josef if you can, it's 35 mins down the road.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you think you are going to get a Gold card discount at this NPD station you will be disappointed. Very expensive fuel. Very average service. My advice is to fill up somewhere else.
