Delays
- As a result of unplanned airport equipment issues, there are delays to some parcels sent by courier between the North and South Islands yesterday in both directions.
Delays to Mail Items:
- Due to precautionary maintenance on some of our electric mail buggies, delays of up to 2 days are expected for mail items across the country. These delays only impact mail delivered through our Paxster fleet – not Courier or Rural items.
- As our posties continue to deliver mail with a reduced fleet and through other means of transport, there is a small backlog forming. This will clear once the Paxsters are back up and running.
Delays to Parcels:
- We are experiencing delays of up to 3-4 days with parcel deliveries in Whangarei Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions as a result of ongoing high levels of absenteeism due to illness.
- In the South Island, we are experiencing delays for parcel delivery of up to 2 days in Dunedin and Invercargill.
We’re working hard to get all items to their destinations safely but apologise for the inconvenience caused by these delays.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I tried to send a parcel to my mother overseas, and was told I need to provide her date of birth. I didn't have this information, so had to go home to get the information. I then found out I should never have been asked for this as it was not actually necessary - wasted two trips to the post shop!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This shop still comes up in searches for Kiwibank but it is not a bank any more. Made a whole trip with a small baby for nothing. Almost impossible to call the store in advance to check. Please sort this out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a shame, I've always had such great experiences but this time, I came about 7 minutes to buy a size 6 bag and tracing ticket. They started constantly asking me when if I'd send it now. And then told me to be faster as they were closing soon (3 minutes). This whole negative experience was all from one staff member who ruined it for every other staff member.
