★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not as fancy looking as the other vineyards in the area but the wines speak for themselves and are possibly the best you can get on the island. Very knowledgeable and friendly host for the tastings. Cellar door prices are very reasonable for the quality of wine too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stopped by because our rental car spot recommended this winery and we are SO glad we did. It was easily our favorite spot on Waiheke! The staff was so friendly and actually educated us on the wine we were drinking. Great covered outdoor patio and even made a little puppy friend! The wine was excellent too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had an amazing time at Obsidian. Fantastic explanation of the wines and really friendly, genuine service. The wines are delicious and have such great variety. Our biggest problem was trying to pick a bottle to take home.

Great wines and with a special shout out to Andrew who went above and beyond for us, who having finished his shift for the day offered to wait until we were ready to leave and gave us a much appreciated lift back down the road. Also got to taste their new project's sparkling rose which I had to include in my purchases. Looking forward to our next visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our first wine stop of the day and they set the bar high. Great friendly service, good knowledge of the wines and island. We arrived on ebikes and there is plenty of places to park. A few friendly dogs wondering about. A smaller winery but one I would recommend adding to any wine tour.
