β β β β β Ordered fish of the day which was haku and chips with a lemon lime and bitters drink. Also grabbed some fresh oysters with a few free slices of lemon .
Chips were crisp and fish was decent but tasteless.
Wish they would have additional fried eggs as a option. As I enjoy dipping my chips in my egg yolk.
I stopped in here as my partner works in the area and I felt like seafood. I find it is a bit more in price and less in portions compared to my local fish and chip store. I would definitely buy seafood from here if I was in the area. They also have seafood chowder that I might try next time. Yes good experience would recommend to try.

β β β β β Tasty fish and chips. We had a mixture of battered and crumbed fish - you can pick your choice of fish. Fresh and tasty, as were the chips - one scoop of each. Not salted so you can flavor to your liking

β β β β β 1st time trying since the new owner took over. Extremely disappointed, the fish was dry and black, chips weren't salted and wedges were tasteless, will not be returning.

β β β β β Best fish and chips in Silverdale, though highly rated on the fish and chips I've had. Fresh fish is a bonus and big size! Everything is normally quite soggy rather than crispy not sure if it's how it's packaged though. Pricey and no updated menu prices online so expect a few more dollars on the cost. I do go here for my local fish n chips.

β β β β β Pretty BS quality now... Seems like new owners. Crab stick was served exploded, second one looked the same inside. Everything in store is not for sale so something must be wrong. Chips were still decent. Snapper was super dry, questioning whether it was even snapper, definitely not fresh. Batter was good.

β β β β β I come here for the seafood! It is ALWAYS fresh! The fish and chips are always on too and itβs good portions and fresh! I will only buy seafood from here. I grew up in the bay of islands and buying seafood wasnβt necessary however being in Auckland means I have to put in the real hard yards to get a fix of kaimoana or I can just come here. Totally worth ever cent and drive!

β β β β β Sadly, the mighty have fallen, this used to be the best fish and chips in the area but, this is the worst we've had in a long time. They're fish mongers but were only cooking a couple of species - teheraki, sorry no! but the counter had plenty available and other varieties. You used to choose your fish and cook to order, not now it seems. scoop and a half of chips - sorry no! only full scoops but 1 is not quite enough and 2 is too much. Batter was thin and chewy not crisp, fish was also chewy - either over cooked or not the freshest (perhaps this is why they're only cooking a couple of varieties - the oldest fish they haven't sold perhaps? Chips, much smaller portion than used to be (hence the 1 not enough above) and not crisp (allowing for travel time), again they seemed to be 'old' - at over $21 for 2 snapper and 1 chips - certainly not good value. I understand from other posts that it has changed hands - sorry but if you don't supply a better product, the takeaway business will go bust. This was a Friday night, usually a queue but only me and one other ordering.
