★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This Crown office is a very bad joke at best. its sole purpose appears to be to cover up by way of taking no action and ignoring complaints about Privacy Act breaches the Crown's other agents do.
The privacy commissioner lets kiwi's privacy under privacy act routinely be violated ignored unlawful privacy act( and NZBORA) breaching legislation that the Crown govt passed. And the Crown govt's privacy act violation mantra is : if you like your rights or privacy you must have something to hide.Whereas the people violating your privacy and breaking the law are the ones hiding under the skirt of the so called privacy commissioner .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had this office involved in a request for access to CCTV footage which was incorrectly rejected because the agency was not aware of their responsibilities under the Privacy Act. In an even greater display of ignorance, the agency went on to illegally disclosed the CCTV to my workplace. I had this office investigate this breach of my privacy. I thoroughly appreciated their work in both instances.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An utter waste of time and taxpayer's money. Better to visit a lawyer's office for advice and action. These puppets can only help if everything is ironed out simply, no complications yet they are supposed to be advocates in the areas of privacy. Would give half a star if I could!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a good experience with this Office. Although there were delays initially, once the ball got rolling I felt that the staff member I was dealing with (Sarah) was responsive and helpful. As a result of their work I was provided with a memo that was previously redacted. The remainder of the redacted information has been deemed to be Official Information and therefore has been forwarded to the Office of the Ombudsman.
