★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my wife Sheila attended one of their open bowling evenings and we were welcomed and looked after very well. We had never played this type of bowls before but were taken under the wings of Brian and John and soon found ourselves playing in a game. After the game ended we were taken into the clubhouse for a beer and a sausage sizzle. All the club members made us feel very welcome and at home. We met the club Chairman/President who had been away playing in a tournament and he during his address to all present again welcomed us on behalf of the club.Then to our surprise we found we had won two $5 bar chits as best newcomers. We were then invited to come to the club on the next open bowls day. All in all a truly awesome welcome. This type of welcome we have found typical of New Zealanders who seem to have hearts as big as the clouds which cover the mountains.From a pom and his missus A Great Big Thank You.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We moved down here late June and my husband joined the bowling club and everyone has made him fell so welcome and I dont bowl but pop down there sometimes and everyone is just so friendly. You can go down to there twilight bowls on Friday night about 5.30 and have a bowl for fun night out .Very happy with the club and we always have a good laugh with the new friends we have made at the club.
