My wife had the vanilla bean and could hardly taste the vanilla flavor.
I had orange chocolate chip which is the worst orange chocolate chip ice cream I ever tasted. There was hardly any creaminess.
Definitely will not buy again.
Will go back to kapiti pottles that are truly creamy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As of Nov 2019 closed. Also it is halfwaydown unsealed pot holed gravel road. No warning of closure so they get a big thumbs down. Seems they just import from Chile now and this operation is scaled down? Organics in New Zealand have been bullyied and sidelined by chemical lobby.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Every summer we've been coming, every year your old machinery gets older and plays up every single time; the staff get younger- their service inexperienced; the ice cream we waited an hour for (which we were told would be ready in 25mins) had melted so the cone went upside down into a cup. Was it worth the wait?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The little shop is located between Matakana and Omaha Beach. When you turn off the main road look out for the Oob sign on the driveway. As you pass the greenery you should end up in an open area where the shop is located. You can pick up a few things here like their berries or ice cream. They have ice cream by the scoop but it was broken when we were there. We ended up having a fresh fruit ice cream where they mix their berries into a soft serve. There were a few tables and bean bags outside and we just sat there while savoring the ice cream. Quite surprised that there were a few other people who also stopped by when we were there.
It was definitely a nice pit stop before heading back to Auckland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hardly any blueberries at all in my ice-cream-it was practically white, staff young and rude, place looked rundown and like it needed a clean. Dairy free chocolate ice-cream and passion fruit sorbet were both gross, threw them out. Quality has gone downhill massively over the last years.
