★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The walk and cycle way is new and it is quite beacutiful. There is a large brdige that goes from Meadowbank Station to Orakei Station which traverses the basin. The walkway is almsot water level so it is nice to just watch the birds and people play (mostly watersports like water skiing) in the water. There is also a section heading towards the Meadowbank Station which looks to still be closed.
