★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an amazing daycare and one that I would highly recommend. The teachers are very skilled and so amazing with the kids and I’m so thankful we found them to look after our little ones. I feel supported and like they have our backs when it comes to looking after my children.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our whanau are really loving our time at Mataki Way. I feel that the teachers have always listened to and respected our parenting style, and they have a gentle, child-led approach in looking after our daughter. They are highly communicative, which made my transition back into work so much easier. Our daughter always has a huge smile on her face when we arrive, and all the children in her class seem equally settled, calm and happy. We feel so lucky we found Mataki Way and would absolutely recommend this centre.

This centre was great when my son started a few years ago however since then staff turnover has increased, management has become disengaged and now not prepared to deal with issues.
* Fees are being increased for a second time in as many year despite other centre's (for now) not amending their pricing.
*My child (Aged 2 at the time) was burnt by a hot glue gun which in my opinion was not fit for use at an ECE (not low heat). This had to be pointed out to management who weren’t even aware there was a difference.
*My child’s privacy has been breached in an open post on the centre's app.
*My child was sent home with a mild runny nose when their ERO review was occurring yet allowed to stay on other days with the same issue (i.e. the day following)
*Countless clothes were ruined by incorrect use of sanitizing spray in the changing area (bleached the clothes).
*We have been accused of medicating our child to reduce his temperature to return him to daycare sooner.
*Following my initial google review management tried to prevent my child from returning without notice whilst we were trying to find alternative care (we have since removed him).
*Management inferred that we would not appreciate their response to this post and suggest I changed it.
Staff are pleasant and friendly and my son really enjoy his time there. It’s a pity about management.
If personal information, situations are referenced in response to this review by the centre I will take necessary action in relation to breaches of mine, my wife's or child's privacy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute privilege to be able to send our daughter here. The staff are amazing, the facility is super cool, and we get regular updates for what all the kiddos are up to. Communication is clear and easy, and these guys are really welcoming and responsive to any of our individual needs.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our Kids Mataki Way has been awesome and if we weren't moving to Christchurch we would never move. Our daughter loves the centre and all the teachers. Communication is great and our daughter is always well looked after. It's been so amazing watching her grow and develop friendships with both the other kids and teachers. She loves the food and I always know that she's got a full tummy and is happy.
