β β β β β The other reviews speak for themselves. Would not recommend this place. Went to the Queenstown store twice to look at a Weber and first time the lady didnβt acknowledge me and second time the guy (who I later was told is the manager Simon) was so arrogant and treated me like I was an inconvenience. Customer service so bad. Surprises me people like this are in business?! Read the reviews before entering foot in the store I suggest!

β β β β β Really liked the wide range of products from different suppliers and all at good prices too. If you like your bbq, this is somewhere to check out to get useful additions to the tools you have.

β β β β β Was really disappointed in the customer service here. Visited Saturday 01 Dec with my husband to purchase a webber BBQ, after having a look around we decided which one we wanted to buy - while waiting at the counter, we were told twice by an employee (young man) we would need to wait while he was doing other things, despite there being 2 others working and not serving other customers they weren't interested in helping us....So we went to Mitre 10 Mega and will be purchasing from there.

β β β β β I was considering a new BBQ and my wife suggested having a look at Outdoor Concepts so I went to see them a few days ago. The guy that I dealt with (guessing mid thirties) was fantastic and explained all of the benefits of the Weber Q series. It was a bit out of our budget but we decided to go for the biggest one. So, this morning I drove to Outdoor Concepts, all excited about the purchase of my new BBQ and hoped to deal with him again. Unfortunately he wasnβt there and I had deal with a lady and another guy who seemed totally uninterested. I needed a number of accessories with the BBQ and asked if they could βthrow one inβ as part of the deal which they did. When paying my 1200 I wasnβt asked my name or address which I thought was a bit strange as they have a rewards scheme. I asked the lady about this and she had no idea about it and said to ask the other guy. I asked him whilst he brought the BBQ to my car and he replied βyeah we used to have it but it cost us too much moneyβ. Check your website guys. If you are looking to achieve repeat business you need to take a careful look at yourselves and the staff that I dealt with today. Sometimes customers can be really excited about a purchase of a new BBQ and feel as though they have been let down when the service received is well below what they expected. The extra star is for the really helpful guy I dealt with the other day.

β β β β β I made on online purchase from Outdoor concepts and the service was so good I wanted to leave a review even though I realise this site is for the Auckland store (I couldn't find a review forum specifically for online purchases?).
I ordered an outdoor solar shower and dealt online with James Higgins - I've never had such fast response times to my emails! When the product arrived, there was a manufacturers fault which prevented the shower from working, so I emailed James and he again responded almost immediately and ordered me a replacement which arrived by courier one week later! This service is probably the very best I've ever experienced with online purchases - James was fantastic. Highly recommended.

β β β β β We went to the store today to buy a pizza oven after looking at the website all weekend. We went in and received the worst service of my life.
there was one person who was working and serving a couple. We waited for him to finish his sale and deliver the goods. On two occasions the salesman saw us and told us he would be right with us after he was done. We waited maybe around 15 minutes. When he came back he started to serve another couple who came in about 5-10 minutes after we did. We told him that we were waiting for him and that we were first. The salesman ignored us. We left the store frustrated. I went back in to confront him and to give him a chance to fix his mistake. I called the salesman rude and told him that we were first and he knew we were waiting for him. The customers proceeded to apologise but, it's not their mistake. Its the salesman's responsibility to make sure that customers are treated fairly. The worst part is that he never apologized or tried to explain himself. I guess the moral of the story is the whiter you look the better your service. Go figure.

β β β β β I couldn't decide if I wanted a pellet BBQ or a giant egg thing. The internet wasn't helping much as there are pros and cons for both. And it was going to be quite a lost of cash, comparatively over buying yet another bloody gas BBQ from Bunnings, so not a decision to take lightly. A quick trip to Outdoor Concepts, with some expert advice solved the problem. Kind of. There is a good argument to be made to have both a pellet grill and a giant egg thing. But who amongst us has that kind of money? Anyway, the people were helpful, they delivered our new BBQ, sorted a minor problem for us without too much fuss, provided some excellent advice involving a chicken and they have stock of pellets every time I visit. We've cooked a lot of good meat over the last 4 weekends, I'm a happy customer, so give them 5 internet stars.
