Park itself is covered by mature trees and sheltered from the sun.
Public toilets are available and clean and a drinking fountain is nice and close to the park

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice small outdoor park with a covered public bbq burner, and a nice playground next to a small car park. In the spring and summer, the park is filled with beautiful blooming flowers. Although people are supposed to clean-up the bbq after they finish using them, sometimes they just leave it along with their junk and rubbish.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a streetie here in Auckland City, and I sleep in oathwaite park quite a bit, when I want to get away from the street whanau for a day or two, so love this park, it's got shelter, water and cooking facilities top marks. Just the toilet is locked atm due to covid. Auckland City Street Life For Life!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an unknown public park. Who's ever heard of it let alone been there? So next time you are in Grafton check out this fine old fashioned garden park. Good for picnics! Especially enjoyable in spring and summer. Astonishing trees.
