[P] Park N Depart - Rongotai

We had to travel to the airport unexpectedly. Raj picked us up at very short notice and charged about $20 a day for parking. He's always very prompt and helpful, meeting us off our return flight with only a 5 minute wait.

We booked in advance for an 8.10am national flight. When we arrived at 7am to drop our car off, no one was there. In fact, there were at least 7 cars lined up. There was absolutely no way the owner would have been able to process 7 transactions, and then load everyone onto the shuttle, in the time we needed. Someone had called the owner, who said he was on his way; that was 30 minutes before we decided to leave. When I tried calling to enquire how far away he was, the phone did not connect. We ended up spending a little more and going to to the Airport Long Term parking. We were parked and delivered to the airport 15 minutes after leaving Park and Depart. I would never use this service again. It is too unreliable.

Utterly horrendous, AVOID AT ALL COSTS. These guys damaged my car whilst it was in their possession, then denied responsibility and refused to pay to fix it. I used Park n Depart over a 4 day period whilst I was hiking in the South Island. When I dropped the car off it was perfectly fine and soon after I picked it up I noticed the exhaust was clean snapped in the middle and was dragging on the road, obviously having been damage by carelessly thrashing it through a ditch or over a bump of some sort. I can't say I'm surprised they thrashed my car given the appalling standard of driving that the shuttle driver that took us to the airport displayed, and the disgraceful attitude I observed from Raj and his team when inquiring about the damage to my car. Upon discovering the damage, I immediately phoned and sent pictures to Park n Depart and was told they would ring me back the next day with an answer. I had to repeatedly ring them every day for the next 10 days to finally get a response, they did not ring me once despite their many promises. It seems their ability to operate a phone or answer an email is similar to their ability to operate a motor vehicle: poor. When I finally received an answer I was extremely disappointed and enraged to hear that Raj was claiming the damage had to have happened in the few minutes between me picking up the car and noticing the damage due to hearing the exhaust dragging on the road; an utterly ridiculous claim given the flat road back towards Kilbirnie. Raj and his team were rude, dishonest and incompetent in dealing with this situation. I find it astounding yet hilarious that all of their customer reviews on their website are only the positive reviews from Google, yet not one of the abundance of poor (and accurate) reviews make it on there. At least they are consistent in their dishonesty. I would rather pay twice the amount to use a parking company that actually respects their customers vehicles than use these guys again, and will warn anyone who considers using them just how abysmal their service is.

1 star is over-rated... Do not use this service unless you want your car written off, a whole lot of stress and to be completely ignored by the owner himself. We parked our car at Park and depart while we went away for the weekend we were asked to leave our keys behind so they could move the car around if they needed to. We returned 5 days later to find they had moved our car and left the windows down. It had rained all weekend and my car had completely filled up with water. My car was consequently written off. Raj has completely avoided all phone calls and emails. We also discovered afterwards that the dashcam footage had been deleted as well as major damage caused to the sill and door of the car likely from hoisting the vehicle up to drain the water. This has cause me alot of stress ,as well as having to go nearly 4 weeks without a car in the middle of winter.

Never again, I made my first booking with Park N Depart for an early morning flight after reading such great reviews and competitive pricing. I got my confirmation email etc. so thought I was all set. I arrived at the parking depot just after 5am for a 5.15am transfer to the airport terminal as requested in my booking. At 5.17am I call the number provided, left a voicemail asking for someone to call me back urgently. At 5.20am still no response to my voicemail, I called again to get someone who said they would find out where the van was, I said I was standing right next to it outside their offices, he hung up on me. I waited outside the office for another five minutes before I had to leave or I would miss my flight. No further response from the Park N Depart team - I called again while I was waiting to board my flight to find out what was happening and to cancel my booking, no answer and again no answer to my email I sent to find out what the issue was and to ensure my booking had been cancelled. I would have at least expected someone calling or responding to my email to explain what had gone wrong..

Totally agree with the others on how bad the service was!!!. Early flight, arrived and no one to be seen. Waited at least 15 min, other customers were coming in, so called the number n was told he'll be there. No apologies n it's my fault!!!. When we arrive back in Wellington the lady who picked us up was grumpy as same as the time she took us to the airport. Can't be bothered greeting her customers not getting out of the van to at least open up the booth!!!. Never again we will use their service. First time we use them it was good. Car was parked on a very muddy spot n was given the key n told us to get the car ourselves. Extremely disappointed. That was in mid July. Lucky I'm giving you 1 ⭐

Wow.. we were going to book with these guys, until we saw the 1 star reviews! The website now says “under new management” They obviously have a lot of work to do to get up to standard, what a shame & I feel sorry for the people who had such appalling experiences.

Useless!! Had a 6am drop off time booked, and arrived at 5.50am.. sat in car outside for 15 mins, no one came so rang number on the shuttle that was sitting kerb side infront of the building... no answer, sat another 10 mins before leaving as had a plane to catch Not good enough! Will not be recommending to others
