Cheap petrol close to the airport. Good place to fill up the rental car.

I filled up my car gas for 10 dollar but they took 150 dollar from my card by mistake. I emailed the company but no reply till now.

Self service, doesn’t accept cash or credit cards that don’t have a pin (as my US card doesn’t), slow response on radio to get a real person, only to discover there is no way for me to get gas here.

Avoid or minimise filling up in Frankton/Queenstown, as prices are extortionate - about 15% higher than Dunedin and 17% higher than Christchurch, and even 11-13% higher than Te Anau and Wanaka when we were there (Jan/Feb-2020). It appears collusion can't be ruled out as all 5x Frankton area petrol stations - including the Pak N Save - charged the exact same price - well above that charged in adjacent towns an hour away (which didn't all charge the same either). This suggests it is not transport cost but likely exploitation of tourists (unless the price cycle peak coincided with our time in Queenstown). NZCC should investigate this apparently collusive behaviour. Do yourself a favour and fill up in Alexandra, Wanaka or Te Anau (where stations actually compete).

Lost nearly $30 in savings ?, as they stopped letting me continue to fuel after returning the nozzel using the same card. This might just be a voucher thing(when you really need it), as I still continued fueling a few weeks ago. Be careful when you fill more than one vehicle, be at least three people, two move the cars and one to hang on to the nozzel. ?
