I’m always able to get same day appointments for my kids, doctors and nurses are friendly while being super thorough, premises are clean and tidy with a comfortable waiting room. Prices are reasonable for adult consults, free for kids.

After moving to paraparaumu i joined this medical Centre even after seeing low star reviews on Google. Booked an appt for an sti check, waited 45min over my booked time. The doctor was quite good, although hurried, and afterwards he Sent me to do a urine test pointing in a direction unclear. After depositing my sample I then went to reception to drop off (as the doctor had instructed). I was stared at blankly and after explaining the doctors instructions I was again pointed in a direction to go and see the nurses. So I walk down a couple hallways into a waiting room where I sit for 10min while the nurses look me over but continue to type away. I then head over to gain there attention and try handing them the sample to which I am again rerouted, this time to the samples lab where I wait for the nurse for 5 minutes. When she arrives I explain to her that the Doc hasn't written my details on my sample. She then proceeds to write on something (not the test pot) and says it'll be fine. Several days later I receive a text message.. "Msg from Paraparaumu Med Ctr: Hi Louie, I'm really sorry but due to a labelling issue we are going to have to repeat the urine test. I have left a plastic bag with a test pot at reception. Please can you come to reception to collect it then do another sample, put it back in the bag and ask reception to give it directly to me. Best on Wednesday or on Friday afternoon when I'm here. Thanks, [DELETED] . ( Pls. don't reply by txt to this msg.)". When I finally find time to go back I am printed a form by the receptionist and asked to visit the pathologist for any further urine tests. puzzled, I show her the text message. Her and another receptionist then spend the next 5mins searching for a test bag with my name on it in the back. This time the sample pot is labeled clearly, I deposit the sample and again get asked to visit the nurses. I don't wait to get their attention this time, I hand it to the nurse and am told 3 days is the usual turn around time before getting a text with results. On my way out to the car one of the nurses confronts me and asks me to come back in as there has been some issue. I follow her back into the practice only to find she has the wrong person, everything is fine on my end. I then proceed to leave. It has been 12 days. Not a single reply from the medical Centre with results. Now the doctor did a good job, all necessary tests actioned as well as describing symptoms and giving a prescription before receiving test results however it doesn't make up for the complete disorganization of this Centre. I've paid money for a service and gone out of my way to correct error but still left in the dark as to any possible condition.

I had to have a covid test due to working in health industry and having a cold. Just want to thank Denise for efficiency and calmness in taking the call and doing the test. I am not a patient of the centre and it had taken from a half hour wait on waikanae health centre to be told to ring 0800 number,. On and on until I contacted paraparaumu medical at 230 and I was down there by 3 pm.. Thankyou Denise.

Haven't been able to see my GP for over three years due to over booking! Can never get through to reception and leaving a message results in no returned calls. GPs and nurses are great but can't see them.Going to investigate other practices as we can never get the kids in. Edit: the manager of the center had got hold of me soon after posting my review (surprise, surprise!) And assured me that there were processes in place to make change. I'm pleased to say that those processes have made a real difference and have been persisted. Well done guys.

My wife received excellent care at the centre after giving birth at the centre mid September. The staff was very caring toward her and our girl and the postnatal suite is so comfortable it was just what we needed after a slightly complicated birth. We felt genuinely cared for and our experiences at the centre really went beyond our expectations. Thanks you!

Useless management and rubbish service. I spoke to their nurse who told me to come in and register as I was new to the area and would be able to do so, only to take the day off work to be turned away by the receptionist who didn't listen or care. The manager didn't even come out to speak to me and was hiding around the corner and didn't want to know. Don't waste your time with these childish girls.

Rude, condescending administration staff. Regularly spoken to with a short, sharp rude and patronising manner. Have been refused an appointment to get merina removed (had been bleeding for 3months straight), due to a $20 outstanding fee that I had made a junior staffer check "thoroughly" as I was certain it needed to be said for my Son. I was eventually seen as I refused to leave till I had it removed due to the severity of my medical issue. On many occasions, I hung up or left crying due to the way I have been treated by the admin. The doctors are fine some are great. But admin worst ever dealt with. After finally sending an official conplaint. I will finally be leaving to a Porirua doctor as I couldn't find one that had room for me besides Hora te psi in Paraparaumu.
