Pats Pantry, a well-known Kiwi brand, started in 1966 producing a variety of high quality, delicious baked goods and pies and as part of its expansion programme, purchased another well-known brand, Ponsonby Pies in 2005. It was as a result of this purchase and the need for a name under which both brands could be maintained and developed that the birth of Gourmet Foods Limited came about.
Today, Gourmet Foods Limited continues to produce highest quality pastry products, pies all under their own respective brands and distribute country-wide.

Our pies have won many awards at the NZ Bakels Pie Awards and this has a lot to do with our award winning pastry- golden, flaky and delicious to eat and real meat fillings.

β β β β β The best pies period! I have been to Australia, come form England, and never have ai eaten a pie this good. I am a bit perplexed why they needed to do Balti and Indian pies. Ponsonby pies, if the recipe aint broke dont fiddle. As a POM I have seen how the English have soldthier soul in trying to pander to all men and places. Don't for Pete's sake do a Halal pie. Although I feel this is inevitable. Pies in POM land are 4 times more expensive. and filled with air. The air in England I have to tell you aint that good to justify this.
