★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a terrible experience. Came to watch the All Blacks world cup debut with our fellow kiwi's after dinner and a couple of beers. We felt the staff didn't want us around from the get go, after asking for a beer (also 10 dollars for a small handle), we were told that was it and weren't allowed to purchase any more alcohol. We were confused as we weren't intoxicated, and generally felt we weren't wanted there from the start. We were excited to watch the game being our first of the tournament, but the night was cut short and we went home early, not knowing the results until morning.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had dinner at the club, very friendly locals advised us on what to do, with the barman signing us in. Our dinner was lovely, tasty and well presented. Will visit again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I feel like a victim of daylight robbery after purchasing 2 alcoholic beverages from the pauanui club. Usually club prices are somewhat more reasonable so it was a bit of a shock to be honest. The customer service was very good and the kids enjoyed the playground area.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wow after recommendation's from fellow friendly nzmca members we decided to call into Pauanui and explore the area and stay at the park the Pauanui Sports and Recreation club have created for motorhome and caravan owners are able to stay on power. The club is very accommodating and friendly, the meals are delicious. Thank you very much for the opportunity to stay
